Provide security services at La Cumbre Plaza in Santa Barbara, maintaining a visible presence and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. This role focuses on strong awareness, customer service, and professionalism while supporting daily site operations.What You'll Do:* Monitor entrances and control pedestrian and vehicle access* Patrol the property and surrounding areas* Observe and report suspicious activity, incidents, or safety concerns* Assist customers, visitors, and employees in a professional and friendly manner* Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations as needed* Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and log entries* Monitor cameras and security systems as required* Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessaryWhat We're Looking For:* Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility* Professional presence and customer-first mindset* Ability to stay alert and aware in a fast-paced environment* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal* Ability to follow post orders and adapt to changing situations* Team-oriented with the ability to take direction and act independently when neededAdditional Responsibilities:* Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and site-specific protocols* Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards* Report any safety or maintenance concerns* Communicate regularly with the Security Supervisor regarding site activitySkills and Abilities:* Honest, alert, and well-disciplined* Strong customer service skills aligned with company standards* Ability to handle multiple priorities and work with urgency* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Ability to work independently and as part of a teamMinimum Qualifications:The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.* High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED).* Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen; any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.* Minimum 3 -- 6 months prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems or access computer systems.* State Guard license is required.
