A company is looking for a Mortgage Loan Underwriter to analyze mortgage loan files for compliance and salability.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough analysis of mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with guidelinesMake independent loan decisions and document findings in the Encompass LOSCollaborate with processing staff to address underwriting deficiencies and maintain service standardsRequired QualificationsMinimum of 5+ years of recent residential mortgage underwriting experience6+ years of experience in the mortgage industryAbility to underwrite mortgage loan files for agency compliance and investor guidelinesCertifications such as FHA DE and/or VA LAPP/SAR are highly preferredExperience with Jumbo loans and manual underwriting is preferred
