Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $180,000 to $200,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial and accounting functions of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as well as lead and mentor the accounting team.
Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
Requirements:
Must be local within the Santa Barbara area.
They must have significant experience as a Controller within a complex organization, preferably with multiple divisions.
Strong expertise in financial statements, tax management, insurance, and intercompany transactions is essential.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in the distribution industry is highly desirable.
Proven ability to build, hire, train, and develop accounting teams, with strong leadership skills.
Advanced Excel proficiency is required for handling complex financial data and analysis.
Experience in managing consolidation processes with a track record of accuracy and efficiency.
