Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $180,000 to $200,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial and accounting functions of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as well as lead and mentor the accounting team.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.

• Must be local within the Santa Barbara area.
• They must have significant experience as a Controller within a complex organization, preferably with multiple divisions.
• Strong expertise in financial statements, tax management, insurance, and intercompany transactions is essential.

• Previous experience in the distribution industry is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to build, hire, train, and develop accounting teams, with strong leadership skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency is required for handling complex financial data and analysis.
• Experience in managing consolidation processes with a track record of accuracy and efficiency.
