Overview
Community Specialist | Santa Barbara at lululemon. The role focuses on executing the store's community strategy, engaging with the community through relationship building, events, and activities, and supporting lululemon product seeding and attendance at local studios. The Community Specialist develops and sustains local relationships with ambassadors and other community partners, providing value, and delivers a world-class guest experience on the store floor with a community perspective.
Job Summary
The Community Specialist is responsible for executing the store's community strategy, including engaging with the community through relationship building, events, and other activities, including supporting product seeding and attending local studios. They develop and sustain local key relationships with lululemon Ambassadors and other relevant community partners, providing synergistic value. They also deliver a world-class guest experience when working on the floor, bringing a community perspective to guest connections.
Core Responsibilities Of The Job
- Collaborate with store leadership to bring Community strategy to life through the pillars of community foundations and guest experience.
- Establish and manage local key relationships (e.g., Ambassadors, Sweat Collective, studio owners, lululemon Studio partner studios) to increase new guest acquisition and guest retention.
- Engage with the local community to identify future Ambassador or partner opportunities and to position the store as a community hub.
- Connect with guests on the floor to assess their needs, provide technical product education, and incorporate omnichannel programs into a seamless end-to-end guest experience.
- Attend, support, and/or host local and regional Community events.
- Execute the product seeding strategy through community partners and Ambassadors.
- Review community-related business data and metrics to identify and share insights with store leadership regarding events, projects, or initiatives.
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences to ensure a supportive, productive, and fun experience for all team members.
Job Requirements
Eligibility
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the store is located
- Must have the ability to travel to assigned store with reliable transportation
Schedule / Availability
- The work schedule can vary based on store needs
- Shifts are typically scheduled: mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- During peak periods or events, the schedule may include early mornings or late nights for some employees
Experience
- 1 year of cumulative experience in customer service or engagement, grassroots marketing, brand engagement or community building
Job Assets (Nice to Have; Not Required)
- Education: High school diploma/GED/equivalent, or above
- Experience building or maintaining relationships with clients, groups, or partners; motivating team members to accomplish goals or activities

Work Context
- Work can occur in various locations and environments, including moving through the store with bright lights and loud music, and at community locations
- Work involves building relationships and strengthening community partnerships, participating in fitness/movement events

Compensation & Benefits Package
Base Pay Range: $22.50 - $25.89/hour, subject to minimum wage in the location
Target Bonus: $2.00/hour
Total Target Base Pay Range: $24.50 - $27.89/hour
lululemon's compensation offerings are pay-for-performance based and may vary by location, knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Eligible for a bonus program where applicable.
