Our Account Managers act as project managers for a portfolio of clients. Each client has a scope of work that they pay Clever Punch to fulfill, with tasks to complete weekly, monthly, and annually. Account Managers are also responsible for maintaining good communication and a good rapport with their clients.

Santa Barbara, CA, or Remote

Compensation

Full time: Starting at $40,000, plus unlimited bonuses based on client workload (expect an additional $500-2,000/month)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a client-facing account management role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear, direct, and confident communication.
• Eye for design and aesthetics.
• Genuine care for clients' success.
• Experience in small-business marketing is required.
• We value experience and skills, formal education is not a requirement.
• Familiarity with Asana, Canva, Squarespace, and Mailchimp is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Clever Punch's Account Managers act as project managers for our clients. Each client's scope of work has an array of weekly and monthly tasks relating to their over-arching goals — your job is to take the reins on them. Projects include copywriting, graphic design, email campaigns, social media management, website design and updates, arranging photoshoots, analytics, and more.

Account Managers have a sharp eye for strong design and good aesthetics. That doesn't mean you have to be an advanced designer — but at a bare minimum, you have to know when something looks good.

We manage projects with integrity and professionalism and help meet deadlines to the best of our ability. The role communicates with clients directly (giving updates or gaining approval) and working with freelancers, delegating and approving their work.

Our team has varying supportive roles — including freelancers, interns, and marketing assistants — to help Account Managers fulfill the client's work.
