Century Group is partnering with a public transit agency in Ventura County. They are seeking an Accounting Assistant with experience in payroll and bookkeeping duties. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $28 to $31 per hour.

Responsibilities/Skills Include:

• Process bi-weekly payroll, quarterly reconciliations, and closing of the period
• Prepare annual wages reports
• Assist with recording invoices/review of postings for accounts payable check runs
• Assist with accounts receivable recordkeeping
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Ability to properly record and document financial transactions and effectively handle frequent interruptions
