Talent Acquisition Specialist @ Addtronics

DAC International located in Carpinteria, California is seeking a temporary experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team and lead the development and customization of software applications that power our automation platforms. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong technical foundation and proven experience who is eager to take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. This role involves leading the development and customization of software applications that power our automation platforms.

Pay Information

Base pay range: $48.00/hr - $55.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced software components using C and C++.


• Write, review, and optimize custom scripts to enhance automation and system integration.


• Lead the design and development of user interfaces with TypeScript and React.


• Oversee integration of software with automation systems and resolve technical challenges.


• Drive software testing, debugging, performance optimization, and technical documentation.


• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.


• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior team members.


• Travel to customer sites as needed to support installations, lead training, and deliver technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).


• Advanced proficiency in C and C++ programming.


• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, design patterns, and version control (Git preferred).


• Proven problem?solving and communication skills.


• Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and training.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science.


• Significant experience with industrial automation or embedded systems.


• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.


• Background in automation, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.


• Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small project teams.
