Join our team as a Bartender for the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club!

The Club, located at Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, is one of the most elite social clubs in the world. As part of the Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts portfolio, it's sister properties include The Montecito Club, the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore, Four Seasons New York, Las Ventanas Al Paraiso Resort Cabo San Lucas, San Ysidro Ranch, and Sandpiper Golf Club. The Club's distinction is driven by hiring and growing the very best associates available, who with the proper, enthusiastic attitude and attention to detail, take pride in their own efforts as well as the efforts from the team, and ensure members and their guest are provided with an exceptional experience.

This position is compensated at $19.00/hr and eligible for The Coral Casino Tip Pool.

General Purpose: Presents an optimistic and unforgettably positive impression to our Members and Guests, exuding the genuine warmth of the Club by serving welcoming and efficient hospitality. The bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing a seamless drinking and dining experience at our restaurant/cafe, cabanas, and lounge seats.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Exhibits sincere hospitality. Puts member satisfaction above all else. Has a problem-solving mindset when dealing with difficult situations.

· Remains attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times.

· Acts as a leader on the team—wants to make the operation better and does so by inspiring those around them to do the same.

· Greet and interact with Members, guests, vendors, and colleagues in a courteous, attentive, and service-oriented manner.

· Serves beverages and food to guests in accordance with established guidelines including glassware and correct pouring, recipes, measures, and garnishes. Prepares and serves beverages in a professional, efficient manner, according to our standards.

· Oversees bar maintenance. Always maintains a clean and organized bar. Keeps bar area supplied in glassware, soda, garnishes, etc. Wipes down bar top and comes out from behind the bar to push in stools and check floors.

· Provides guests at the bar with a 5-star dining experience. Promptly greets and serves each guest at the bar, using suggestive/up-selling techniques. Coordinates food service at the bar with the kitchen, runners, and barback.

· Report to work on time for all scheduled shifts and breaks; clock in/out in full uniform.

· Has complete knowledge of all standards, procedures, and products.

· Maintain grooming and uniform standards.

· Follows all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly.

· Completes daily opening duties, closing duties, and cleaning tasks according to established side work.

· Remains behind the bar or on the floor at all times.

· Conducts bar inventory and requisition to ensure the bar is fully stocked.

· Communicates all 86 items in a timely manner.

· Abides by all cash handling policies. Responsible for accurately accounting for every drink poured.

· Responsible for the quality of taste and presentation of beverages. Tastes drinks to ensure accuracy and consistency.

· Commit to continual improvement in all areas of the operation.

· Communicates needs of members to management. Informs management of any member feedback.

· Adheres to guidelines and policies outlined in the employee handbook.

· Follow all Club and department policies, procedures, and standards.

· Support a safe work environment and assist with other tasks as assigned.

· Performs any other duties assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· High level of professionalism and attention to detail.

· Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills with solid follow through.

· Basic knowledge of government alcohol beverage service regulations.

· Basic math skills.

· Dynamic outgoing personality; articulate, friendly, punctual, and proactive.

· Problem solving, reasoning, and “thinking out of the box”; ability to apply common sense understanding to better serve our internal and external guests' needs.

· Ability to demonstrate proper banquet food and wine service; knowledge of wines/wine regions.

· Ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results.

· Ability to work Holidays and all shifts according to your availability provided at the time of hire.

· Honest, dependable, and aligned with the Club's service standards.

· Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

· Able to interpret and enforce Coral Casino policies and procedures.

· Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

· Minimum two years Bartender experience in an upscale restaurant environment.

· Knowledge of both classic cocktails and contemporary cocktail techniques and trends.

· High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

· At least 21 years of age to pour alcohol per government regulations.

· Serv-Safe certified required; Serv-Safe Alcohol certified required.
