Brief Summary Of Job Duties
This position will create design work, and other digital elements as assigned for UCSB Athletics Department.

Qualifications

  • Ability to accurately research, organize and interpret information; assist in the coordination/preparation of strategic communications plans.
  • Strong knowledge and proficient use of various social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest and YouTube
  • Ability to exhibit sound judgement as it relates to all forms of communication.
  • Knowledge of digital communication media, including relevant software, equipment and/or content management systems.
  • Familiarity with Macintosh and Windows operating systems and relevant applications, including MS Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, group/team and public communication skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills with proven ability to write effectively under deadline for a variety of purposes, goals, audiences and media.

Required Qualifications

  • AA/BA degree in communication, public relations, marketing, graphic design, journalism or related field and two years of relevant marketing/communications experience with social media programs, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 1-3 years Experience creating social media content across channels for an organization, company or institution
  • 1-3 years Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Hoot Suite, content marketing and blogging
