Position Summary

DAC International is seeking a motivatedJunior Software Engineerto join our team and contribute to the development and customization of the software applications that power our automation platforms. This role is ideal for an entry-level engineer or programmer who is eager to grow their skills while supporting both in-house development and customer-facing projects. While much of the work can be done remotely, this position requiresoccasional travel to customer sites for training, integration, and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software components usingC and C++.
• Write and optimize custom scripts to improve automation and integration.
• Assist in building and maintaining user interfaces withTypeScript and React.
• Support the integration of software with automation systems and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Participate in software testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, controls) to ensure smooth system integration.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to support installations, conduct training, and provide technical expertise.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelors degree inComputer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent programming experience).
• Proficiency inC and C++ programming.
• Familiarity withTypeScript/Reactor a willingness to learn.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control (Git preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and training.

Preferred:

• Experience with industrial automation or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
• Exposure to automation, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.
