Role and Location
The Workforce HR Coordinator will specialize in the work experience (WEX) process for adult, veteran and veteran's spouse participants and other special projects. The WEX Specialist will work with employers and participants to place individuals into successful Work Experience opportunities. This role is performed under the Career Coordinator and is expected to be 100% onsite at the listed location.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key liaison between stakeholders, collaborating with the Business Services Team, local employers, and community stakeholders to align goals and strategies.
- Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, businesses, and host sites.
- Become a subject matter expert on labor market and career trends.
- Complete eligibility determination for WEX participants and accurately capture information in the state system.
- Assess and enhance work experience programs based on participant feedback to ensure high-quality experiences.
- Monitor, analyze, and report key performance indicators related to work experience placements.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase work experience participation and engagement among career advisors.
- Coordinate and lead training sessions for team members.
- Document work experience program procedures and outcomes.
- Develop feedback mechanisms to improve internships for interns and host businesses.
- Coordinate activities with marketing for outreach and engagement strategies.
- Meet or exceed program benchmarks and participate in staff events and trainings.
- Assist in onboarding new WEX participants in the ADP system and bi-weekly payroll submissions for WEX hours; collaborate with HR and Fiscal teams on onboarding and payroll accuracy.
- Participate in required training and staff development; maintain a proactive, "ZAG" mindset.
- Other duties and projects as needed for program success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent experience.
- Experience coordinating programs in workforce development settings.
- Ability to build and maintain partnerships; strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with outreach and relationship-building with employers and stakeholders.
- Proficient in data entry with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse customer bases; culturally sensitive.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent time management.
- Knowledge of the local region and partners; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
- A valid driver's license.
Employment details
- Hourly: $25-$28 per hour
- Travel: up to 30% local travel
- Employment Type: Part-time, Non-Exempt
