We support a diverse client base and pride ourselves on creating practical and people-centered solutions.Position SummaryThe Human Resources Assistant will support day-to-day HR operations and provide administrative support across a variety of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, terminations and client onsite availability. This position is designed to start as part-time with the potential to transition to full-time based on business needs and employee preference. It's ideal for someone who is organized, resourceful, and interested in growing within the HR field in a consulting environment.Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Santa Barbara area.Key Responsibilities: Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for client employees.Support benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, and communications.Track compliance requirements such as training completions, I-9 documentation, and handbook acknowledgments.Prepare HR documents such as offer letters, disciplinary notices, and memos under direction.Assist with drafting or formatting client-facing HR templates, forms, and internal procedures.Respond to routine inquiries from client employees regarding policies, benefits, or procedures.Help with scheduling meetings, trainings, and client onsite needs.Support research and administrative tasks for HR audits, employee handbooks, or compliance reviews.Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.1–2 years of administrative or HR support experience preferred (internships ok).Strong organizational and time management skills.Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with HRIS or ATS a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Santa Barbara area.Preferred Attributes: Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources or HR consulting.Familiarity with California employment law.Previous experience supporting a professional services or consulting environment.Compensation & Benefits: Hourly rate: $28–$33/hr , depending on experience.Position begins full-time (30–40 hrs/week) with the option to transition to part-time.Paid time off and holidays (prorated if PT).Opportunity for growth into HR Generalist or Consultant track.Flexible work arrangements (hybrid may be available after training period).#J-18808-Ljbffr
