Description:

A Solution Architect is someone with broad IT experience across many technologies. Successful candidates will possess hands-on experience with a wide range of enterprise technologies. Ideal candidates will have led multiple projects and have several years of experience designing and implementing technology solutions in various capacities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Take ownership of a particular solution implementation.
  2. Develop and execute a solution strategy and business plan that supports business growth.
  3. Act as visionary and strategist for planned solution.
  4. Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation.
  5. Work with technical writers to ensure quality internal and external client-oriented documentation.
  6. Help business development life cycle by serving as a product Subject Matter Expert to help identify and qualify business development opportunities publications.
  7. With Channel Development team, develop and maintain vendor relationships within the product.
  8. Lead development of formalized solution methodologies.
  9. Build and maintain repository for deliverables, methodologies, and business development documents.
  10. Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources.
  11. Collaborate with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve lead as required, to implement installation, customization, and integration efforts.
  12. Oversee aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within solution area.
  13. Provide quality assurance for services within solution area.
  14. Write, or direct the writing of white papers that further insight and thought in the solution area.
  15. Manage a team of direct reports who drive service lines in the solution area.
  16. Mentor and guide more junior technical resources.
  17. Maintain a solid knowledge base of the functional capabilities of and is a Subject Matter Expert on the Talent Applications and the various areas and products within it.
  18. Interface with clients to define and document requirements for a named set of custom developed or vendor software products. Create documentation including requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, feature description PowerPoint decks, user guides, process flows, wireframes, and newsletters.
  19. Conduct Design Thinking sessions to gain insights into end user and customer needs. Manage the Product Backlog for a Product, working with the Engagement Manager to prioritize requirements, define and manage scope and sprints for a project.
  20. Provide operational support to practitioners and firm clients.
  21. Engage business owners and other ITS resources to respond to requests for new applications and/or enhancements. Collaborate with the Engagement Manager in creating and presenting the appropriate project onboarding processes and materials.
  22. Lead and is responsible for all Testing and QA activities within the project lifecycle. Work with and manage USI QA resources to develop and execute Test Plans, Test Scripts and all other deliverables and activities related to Quality Assurance of the Products.
  23. Provide feedback to USI QA resources.
  24. Participate in reviews of plans associated with project execution.
  25. Respond proactively to both business and project issues and escalate appropriately.

General Duties:

  1. Analyze all IT infrastructures and prepare reports to be submitted to senior management and perform research on all technological solutions and provide support to all procurement procedures and maintain knowledge on all latest technologies.
  2. Design and execute all IT policies and procedures to design all IT infrastructures and maintain compliance to all standards and policies and administer efficient working of all IT equipment and hardware and manage all communication with operation management team. Coordinate with various departments to design all management reports for all IT projects and administer everyday activities for all IT systems and manage all technical projects and ensure compliance to all deadlines.
  3. Oversee efficient working of all IT personnel and maintain knowledge on all job functions and administer all business requirements and ensure achievement of all business objectives and evaluate all IT systems.
  4. Determine and implement various IT procedures and assist to integrate various processes to new and existing systems and prepare all user specifications and perform tests on all applications according to technical specifications.
  5. Provide support to all software engineering processes and assist to code all programs and design short and long term objectives for all applications and coordinate with departments to analyze all requirements and provide efficient support to all end users.
  6. Administer project list and prioritize all work and determine an effective departmental budget and maintain and recommend improvements to all manufacturing systems and ensure profitability of all processes.
  7. Collaborate with department personnel and design innovative solutions for all IT issues and maintain all hardware and software for processes according to security requirements and maintain logs of all issues and assist to resolve all efficiently.
  8. Organize and conduct all staff meetings for project reviews and supervise all IT operation systems and services and analyze all customer requirements and develop solutions for same.

Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity with SharePoint, MS Project, HP Quality Center, TFS/Urban Turtle, Automated QA and wire-framing or visualization tools is a plus.
  2. Experience working with SAP development processes.
  3. Experience in packaged software development.
  4. Experience in programming is a plus.

Education and/or Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.

Computer/Software Skills & Abilities:

  1. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet management, database management, and data entry.

Language Skills:

  1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  2. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  3. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills:

  1. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  2. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

  1. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  2. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Skills & Abilities/Qualifications:

  1. Ability to summarize analytical results graphically and numerically in Crystal Reports, MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  2. Proficient and demonstrated use of database reporting tools for data manipulation, data extraction, merging of large, complex data from a variety of sources.
  3. Prior experience with health-related databases/Logician medical database preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  1. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) is a plus.
  2. Proof of liability automobile insurance.
